Mission Accomplished
First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be part of this team and to be able to be part of one of the most humbling experiences I’ve ever been on and to accomplish our mission.
Our trip to Haiti started out with obstacles at the airport – we couldn’t take some of our supplies and donations due to an embargo with Haiti. But through God, we were still able to accomplish our three projects. I have traveled to other countries, but this trip really changed my mindset and point of view about life: which is to know how important it is to be happy and thankful with what God provides for us whether it is too much or too little. I kept asking myself, how can these people live with what they have, which is nothing. I quickly realized that they have a lot; they have the love of God and they help and care for each other. Before this trip I often complained about little things and how hard life is. I complained about wanting to buy things that aren’t really needed, I realized that material things and money cannot buy happiness and the love of God if we don’t trust him or don’t have him in our hearts. The Haitian people do exactly that, they trust God. As Americans, we don’t appreciate what we have, which is too much. We have so much that our best investment is to help the ones who are in need by doing these types of mission trips. I truly believe that we are God’s hands and feet, and we are able to serve those in need. I’m excited to say I will be sponsoring a little girl, Shamaica, so that she will be able to go to school.
Thank you to Wildman Business Group for the support and letting me go to serve God. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, material, and financial donations. Without this help, this trip could not be possible. Mission accomplished!
