with Humanity & Hope

The Adventure

The trip of a lifetime

Join us in Honduras to experience sustainable transformation, firsthand. This one-week trip will be a special opportunity to learn about some of the projects we support and meet the men and women and children in the Honduran villages. We are excited for you to join the Humanity and Hope team and begin creating change together.

Cool Stuff: Enjoy time eating local meals, playing cards and furthering connections with friends and staff.

The Service

Adventure & Service

The greatest way to understand the need and see the impact of the sustainable change H&H is making in Honduras in the lives of the impoverished families is to experience it firsthand. Awareness trips are a powerful way to learn, serve, and make an even greater impact.

Who do I ask if I have more questions?

Please contact Audrey Russell, Human Resources Director at Wildman, with any mission trip related questions at 574-306-4646 or e-mail her at audrey.russell@wildmanbg.com.

Are the trips safe?

The places we will travel are generally crime-free during the daylight hours. A few things to remember are to leave expensive and/or fancy jewelry at home, do not walk down the public streets carrying anything valuable in your hand (example: cell phone), and do not leave the hotel without reporting it to a team leaders. It is critical that you never travel alone, but in small groups to ensure your safety. Should conflict occur, please walk away politely while saying I’m sorry to resolve the situation quickly.

What will I be doing in Honduras?

We will work hand-in-hand with others, helping in any way we can. H&H provides translators so that each trip participant has the opportunity to communicate with our Honduran friends. We will visit the agricultural businesses H&H has helped the local Hondurans in their communities create in order to provide sustainable change. We will spend time in the villages to meet the families we are helping, attend a local church service in La Coroza, which is an H&H church plant that was established in 2017.  Past trips have helped with construction projects, agricultural work, painting homes, leading seminars, or having village meetings. Time is enjoyed together eating meals, playing cards, and furthering connections with friends and the local Honduran staff of Humanity & Hope.

What is Humanity & Hope?

Humanity & Hope United is a non-profit working to assist under-served villages in remote parts of Honduras. We partner with the people of each village to achieve sustainable change, focusing on the needs of individuals rather than a single issue or approach. We are convinced that hope is contagious and that when people invest their talents in making others’ lives better, hope will spread.

What does the fee include?

The fee includes your transportation, hotel stay, food, and airfare.

What type of lodging do you provide in Honduras?

The group will stay at the Casa Blanca Hotel in El Progresso.

What should I wear on the mission trips?

Modesty is key. Men should wear pants & women capris, skirts, or dresses to church. When visiting the school or villages, please do not wear shorts, tank tops, or yoga pants.

Wildman provides transportation via a bus or large van with the groups traveling together.
